Learning note: This guide is educational and intended as a practical starting point. Interfaces, features and pricing can change; verify critical steps against official product documentation.

Verify the request, not just the design

A legitimate-looking logo is easy to copy. Be suspicious of unexpected sign-in requests, payment changes or urgent document shares.

Check the destination

Inspect the actual domain before signing in. Avoid following a link in an unexpected message to enter a password.

Use a separate channel

If a colleague asks for money or access, call them using a known number rather than replying to the message.

Protect your account

Enable multifactor authentication, preferably phishing-resistant methods where available, and use unique passwords.

Report quickly

Use your organization’s phishing reporting process. If you entered credentials, change them through the official site and alert your administrator.
